PETERHEAD GOLF CLUB

Peterhead Golf Club was founded in 1881 and is located on the most North Easternly point of the UK. The area is known locally as the "Craigewan Links", at the mouth of the River Ugie, Peterhead, forty five minutes north of Aberdeen.

The traditional links course is a Willie Park Jr Design (Dual winner of the Open). A par 70, measuring 6,142 yards off the white tees, the course layout has golfers playing out or back into the wind. Depending on the direction the wind is traditionally its biggest defense against low scoring. In the summer months the firm conditions will force you to play the ball on the ground as stopping the ball next to the pin is very tricky.

The rough North East coastline hugs the course and we have some spectacular views especially at the furthest point - the new tee at the 10th will challenge any course for the views where you can look down the beach & dunes, back towards the fishing Town of Peterhead."
