PORTMARNOCK GOLF CLUB

Portmarnock Golf Club sits majestically on a narrow tongue of shallow duneland, only 10 miles north of Dublin city. No other Irish course has been graced by so many distinguished players in a rich history encompassing a broad sweep of significant levels. It is where Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead successfully followed its serpentine route through classic linkslandon their way to the 1960 Canada Cup. And its where another generation of Americans, including Phil Mickelson and David Duval, secured a memorable Walker Cup triumph in 1991. With these events and also a 19 time venue of the Irish Open, it remains one of the most respected venues in the world.
