ROYAL LYTHAM & ST. ANNES

Royal Lytham & St Annes, constructed in 1897, enjoys a deserved reputation as one of Britain’s most challenging courses and in 2011 staged its eleventh Open Championship. It was at Lytham in 1969 that Tony Jacklin became the first British golfer to win the Open for 18 years, and 40 years later that Catriona Matthew claimed the Ricoh Women’s British Open a mere eleven weeks after giving birth to her second child! It has also hosted two Ryder Cups. Royal Lytham is ranked 17 in the UK and is ranked in the top 80 courses in the World!
